60th JUBILEE HATO PAORA KAPAHAKA HOUSE COMPETITION 2007
Last night the 19th of October our annual kapahaka house comps were held at the Regent Theatre in Palmerston North. It was an event that was enjoyed by all with all houses performing at a high level.
A little flavour was added this year with dance skits in between the judged brackets.
Another important part of the night was the celebration of our 60th year with the cutting of five cakes; one for each house and the Jubilee cake.
Rongomatane were crowned the champions this year, a achievement which they have not accomplished since 1997. Our head boy Hona Black was their main tutor and composer with his leadership and organisation skills enabling Rongo to have a bracket full of variety and sweet harmony.
Thanks to the many parents and whanau who helped make the event a success, Tena ra koutou katoa.
