Kia Ora Pa Nick,
I really like how you are working with your students through the blogs. I am a lecturer at Victoria Uni, working with emerging teachers and they often ask for examples of students interacting through blogs. If you don't mind, I will direct them to look in on what you are doing.
Your students may like the idea of putting counters on their blogs http://www.amazingcounters.com/ or maps to show where visitors are from(http://clustrmaps.com/counter/maps).- both freebee.
Keep up the great work!

6) this saying comes from tane the son of papatuanuku when he made the first woman out of clay and breath life on her when he said Tihei the womans name was Hine-ahu-one.

7) the difference is that one is from your iwi or special person and the other is just a saying that people just know.

8)Tuhia ki te rangi
Tuhia ki te whenua
Tuhia ki te ngakau o nga tangata
Ko te mea nui
Ko te aroha
Tihei (wa) Mauri Ora!
